
Bars may also offer seated table service in outside areas which form part of the premises. Restaurants and bars shall operate no later than 9:00 PM for seated outdoor table service. Persons may travel to collect food from restaurants until 10:00 PM. Restaurants and third party delivery services may deliver food from restaurants until 11:00 PM. These restrictions apply only to Grand Cayman and are set out in the Prevention, Control, and Suppression of Covid-19 (Partial Lifting of Restrictions) Regulations, 2020.
Guidelines Issued By The Competent Authority
The rules set out for operations of restaurants and bars outdoors are as follows.
Specific to restaurants and dining:
- All dining must be in an open-air establishment. No enclosed or air-conditioned dining is allowed.
- All employees must wear masks/face covering.
- Sanitization stations must be set up accordingly for staff.
- Mingling or physical contact with others is prohibited.
- One-time paper menus will be used or no contact menu display boards.
- Shared condiments are not allowed on tables. All condiments must be single-use.
- Staff must wear gloves and masks when handling used dishes and tables.
Customer management:
- Customers can only be served when seated at a table. No bar counter or standing service is permitted.
- Customers must use a mask/face covering at all times when not seated at their table.
- Mingling within 6ft or physical contact with others is prohibited.
